Walking in Self-Trust

What does it mean to you? Fully trusting yourself, catching yourself, supporting yourself, rooting for yourself?

I’ve been sitting with this for the past couple months, how do I fall deeper into self trust?

There’s been some recent events unfold in my life experience that have been, to put it simply, grossly unexpected. Or so I thought… they definitely came by surprise. A wolf dressed in sheep’s clothing.

The thing is, I was just in complete surprise. How did I get here? How did I bring this into existence? What is the lesson here? What is this reflecting back to me?

After all, it is I, that creates this reality for myself, in service to all I need to move through and learn in this moment here and now. Sometimes a little…challenging, acknowledging that there is no one to blame, it is always our doing. However, from this place of acknowledgement, we can move forward and begin to truly see what is trying to reveal itself, like a chest full of treasure.

And finally I got it. Self trust.

Our soul essence, higher self, Christ being, whichever term you like to use to describe it, is always, ALWAYS, guiding us. This guidance comes in hunches, in feelings, sensations, bursts of wisdom and knowings…to name a few. Have you felt them? Have you heard them? The hearing is a different type of hearing. Maybe it is words from within, but maybe it is just a deeper sense of “hearing” that creates a knowing from within you. Do you listen?

Angels often leave feathers on your path to remind you they are with you.

Working and alongside our beautiful soul essence is also an army of light, our spiritual team (and beyond), made up of angels, guides, loved ones… and more. All rooting for us to walk towards that which is in service to our highest good. Their guidance and support comes in similar ways. There are beautiful signs all around us reminding us of their presence, of their encouragement, of their unconditional love and support.

And we look and recognize perhaps, but do you see? Do you deeply truly see the beautiful signs just lighting your way forward? Like a candle lit up aisle guiding you down the altar. At the end of it, waiting for you all that you have planned out for your existence. Guiding you back to the oneness of all that you are.

Do you see how beautiful you are? How important you are? How much love and light you carry?

How could we not have such beautiful beings guide our way. They are a part of you and you a part of them. You are made of the same light. Do you see?

All this. Like ripe fruit ready for the picking. Right in from of us, just dangling in front of our face, from the tree of life. No requirements, no rules, just there for us, if we choose to see it, if we choose to pick it, if we choose to savour and nourish ourselves with it. Just there.

Do we truly see? Do we truly listen? Within.

All that is, constantly surrounding us and showing up in complete beauty for us. Just there.

There’s quite a bit to unload around all this, but for the purpose of this entry, let’s now reel it back into trust.

To acknowledge and [consciously] receive these beautiful gifts being presented to us from these sources of light, we cultivate trust in the divine. As we walk our spiritual path, as a student in this life, we heal, we grow, we integrate light. We begin to open ourselves up to a new reality. Experiences lead us to acknowledge, teaching us to see and listen, within. Leading us to recognize truth, leading us into trust and surrender. Trust in life, trust in the divine. A new relationship based on trust, of knowing that life is ever unfolding in service to you. Trusting and recognizing the compassion, love and light that lives within, creating from this place, the best reality we can at every given moment. Paving a new path.

A new alliance. In full trust. Knowing the divine has your back, every moment of every day. All you have to do, is call them in, make time to commune with them and continue nourishing this relationship that holds your hand as you walk down the candle lit aisle into your realized potential, your I AM, the all that is.

Pure magnificence.

Within all of this magnificent nature of being, there is one more, and very important, relationship to be cultivated, nourished and acknowledged… the one with yourself. Your whole self. Spiritual and human. The self in the here and now having this experience. The self that is navigating the growth, seeing and listening towards evolution. Have you been also tending to this relationship?

And perhaps it’s a little tricky to fully see within the navigation of life. Because this self needs tending to its spiritual needs as well as the physical. It needs days of rest and pampering, days of silence and solitude, connection with nature and the essence of all it is. (It, because it is both the feminine and masculine). With moments of doing yet flowing. With goals yet allowing. With action yet being.

This whole self being that is you, does it know how worthy it is to be here? In this here now existence. Does it know it is enough? Always has been and always will be. Does it know that is is complete? Whole? Healed?

Do you fully trust the self, that is you?

Seeing and listening to the divine within you in full trust. In outmost confidence and knowing of the self. Complete self. Spiritual and human as one.

Now let’s go back to the beginning and tie my current experience to this reflection.

See, I have cultivated this trust in the divine. How could I not? It had shown me a new way forward, a new possibility, a new way to be. Aligned in love and light, able to uplift me into new frequencies I had not known to be possible. I trusted them to keep me safe. To protect me. To love me and guide me into the arms of my I AM.

But here is the thing, I was placing all my trust on them, without truly considering me. Self. My whole self. The self I am that is also part of all, that is love, light and knowing. The self that chose to be here and now to walk this path on Earth. The self that walks alongside these beautiful beings so that together we can sow the seed of a new beginning.

I was blinded by the light outside, forgetting to recognize my own. Forgetting that I too am a moving part, have a part to play and need to listen, act and fully trust myself.

On this path I have learned to recognize that there is nothing that is outside of us, separate from us. That our surroundings are but reflections of all we are. In the physical, this has been an easy concept for me to grasp. And you will often read my writings telling you to come back within yourself, for you carry all of it. Within.

Now, I see here and now, that balance is also needed in the spiritual. I cannot just look to the divine to show me, guide me, tell me… I must also learn how to cultivate a relationship with the self. Learning to navigate from the compass of my heart, from my self being.

This self trust, rooted in complete balance, in the knowing that we all have a part to play in this divine plan. That our part is to be played wholly. The divine and higher realms guiding us, working through us, to anchor light and wisdom. It is through the cultivated relationship with ourselves and the trust built within the self that allows this to happen. Allows us to be discerning, to be fully open and trusting.

To fully trust outside of you, you must first fully trust within.

You are worthy. You are enough. You are divine. Know this truth, deep within every fibre of the self, and fully fall back into trust with you. Complete faith, with love as your beacon, walking your heaven on earth, in your light. You are so worthy my friend, you are so much.
